The Micro-credentials competition is open to all educators both locally and internationally. The competition requires participants to adhere to suitable instructional design models, strategies, and principles.

Who Should Participate

The Micro-Credential Course (MiC) Competition is open to all educators.

  • The Micro-Credential Course (MiC) Competition is open to all educators
  • The course content can be developed either in English or Bahasa Melayu
  • Participation may be as an individual or in a group (maximum of five members per group)
  • Follow appropriate instructional design model/strategy/principles
  • Provide an overview of the course (+-150 words) that includes the objective, target audience, benefit and rationale of the course, knowledge and skills to be learned, modes and activities, and prior knowledge needed
  • Each course must have at least 2 complete modules.
  • A complete module should contain the followings:
    • ONE (1) self-developed video presentation with a duration maximum 5 minutes
    • ONE (1) learning activity – to develop the learners
    • ONE (1) microlearning content
    • ONE (1) assessment – to assess the learners
    • Reference/learning materials (figures, animations, videos etc.)
  • Upload the course to an LMS and share the link of the course in the registration form. It must be publicly accessible for evaluation
  • The video presentation must be uploaded to YouTube and set the visibility to "public". The tutorial for creating a YouTube account can be found here
  • Once the video presentation and the MiC course have been completed, submit them via the registration link here. During the registration process, fill in all the required information and upload the following:
    • Link to MiC Course
    • Video presentation
    • Proof of payment

  • All entries must submit the 2 items as follows:
    1. Link to MiC Course (accessible to public)
    2. Video Presentation (maximum 5 minutes): The video presentation must be uploaded to YouTube and set the visibility to "public"
  • Video presentation should include following items:
    • Highlight on the Innovativeness and learning strategies
    • Practicality and Usefulness
    • Impact of Learning
    • Creativity (interactivity/design) of the course
    • Achievement (if any)

  • Participation may be as an individual or in a group (maximum of five members per group)
  • The deadline for submission and payment is 9 October 2023
  • Participants are allowed to submit more than one entry. If all submissions are accepted, the participants must pay for each submission
  • The organizer reserves the right to reject submissions that do not fulfill the requirements of the competition
  • Each submission will receive a Certificate of Achievement
  • By submitting materials to the iLRF 2023 competitions, the organiser has the right to publish the submitted materials on our official website and social media platforms. This includes, but is not limited to photographs, videos, written content, and any other promotional materials you provide.

  • The evaluation will be made by experienced judges, selected by the organizer
  • Each submission will be judged based on the following criteria:
    • Innovativeness and Strategies
    • Practicality and Usefulness
    • Impact of Learning
    • Creativity (interactivity/design) of the course
  • The judges’ decision is final
  • Any appeals will not be entertained

    Cancellation Policy

    1. Any cancellation of registration must be made in writing to the Secretariat of IMU International Learning Resources Festival 2023 (iLRF 2023)
    2. There will be full refund of registration fee for cancellation made by 6 September 2023.
    3. There will be a 50% refund of registration fee for cancellation made before 6 October 2023.
    4. There will be no refund of registration fee for cancellation made on 23 October 2023 and thereafter.
    5. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or change the topic or trainer of the workshop, if for whatever reasons beyond its control, the workshop cannot be held as scheduled or the topics need to be altered.
