Frequently Asked Question

There are several reasons why you are unable to see or access your mentee ePortfolio in the MAHARA portal. The issues are;

1. You open their ePortfolio in the wrong way.

• This issue happens when mentees are required to submit their ePortfolio in elearn portal submission.
• In this case, mentees are required to submit their link in the ePortfolio Submission in the elearn portal.
• When you want to grade your mentee ePortfolio, you need to open the link in order to view them.
• So, here are the steps of the CORRECT way to open and view the mentee ePortfolio link;
  • Once you logged in to the elearn portal, you need to log in to the MAHARA portal on a new page. Make sure this page is not closed and let it open until the whole grading process is done.
  • Then, go back to the elearn portal and go to the ePortfolio Submission link.
  • In this link, you can see your mentees submissions.
  • Go to one mentee submission, COPY the link from the submission, and OPEN A NEW PAGE, then PASTE THE LINK on that page and ENTER.
  • After that, you will see your mentee ePortfolio.
• BUT, after you have done those steps and still prompting "ACCESS DENIED", please refer back to the 1, 2, 3 issues up there.

or, 

2. Mentee did not SHARE their ePortfolio collection to you.

• To solve the issue,
  • Inform your mentee to check whether the ePortfolio is shared with you correctly
  • Ask them to refer to the guide "HOW TO SHARE MY ePORTFOLIO TO MY MENTOR"

or,

3. Mentee submit the wrong ePortfolio link.

• To solve the issue,
  • Inform mentee to check the link and re-submit the correct link of ePortfolio
  • Ask them to refer to the guide "HOW TO SUBMIT MY ePORTFOLIO LINK"

or,

4. Mentee set duration of access to the page.

• To solve the issue, inform mentees to check their ePortfolio and ask them to remove/disable the access time restriction in their ePortfolio settings.
