Because you using your own email to request the eTicket, so all the response and replies will go to and received from that registered email. Unless you using other person email, or you keyed in wrong email, so you will not receive any emails reply from the system.
The eTicket number that was assigned to you is your identification for your request. So, when you want to check the status of your eTicket, that eTicket number is required to trace back your request. In the future if you want to check your past eTickets, you can refer back to the eTicket number, so that all that past eTickets can be retrieved.
